Newcastle Bluemoon watercolour painting
£22.00 – £35.00
Newcastle Bluemoon watercolour painting, featuring the iconic Newcastle Gateshead skyline, buildings and bridges. This painting features the iconic buildings and bridges along the quayside. This includes the Sage Gateshead, Tyne Bridge, Newcastle Castle, Grey’s Monument and the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. The Lantern Tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral, towers above part of St. James’ Park football stadium, that is visible on the reverse side of the mug. A striking cool blue paint design has been used in this painting. With just the odd splash of purple and yellow to brake-up the blueness.
The original watercolour painting is by local artist Louisa E. Taylor and is part of her ‘Splash of Toon‘ range of paintings. Each painting features a unique arrangement and selection of buildings, bridges and landmarks from the Newcastle Gateshead skyline. After deciding on the arrangement of elements, each watercolour painting is created with a completely different colour pallet. The colours that work for one arrangement, so often, just don’t work for a different one. This is often down to the way the buildings and bridges are arranged for the painting. It does make each painting unique and it also makes the whole range of paintings varied and suited to be hung on a wide variety of different colour painted walls.
Newcastle Bluemoon watercolour painting is printed on heavy weight 240gsm matte paper, which cuts down on reflections. It is printed using an Epson P9000 with 11 inks, this gives a fantastic range of colours, to reproduce the colours of the original artwork.
