Durham Autumn Riverbanks Fridge Magnet. Plastic fridge magnet with a photograph of the riverbanks in autumn beside the River Wear. Durham Cathedral stands majestically above the trees. Below Durham Cathedral, is the Fulling Mill museum beside the wear, just poking through the trees. Nice bright autumnal photograph of this iconic view, taken standing beside the ‘Pink House’ beside the wear. This autumn day has a bright deep blue sky and attractive white fluffy clouds passing behind the towers of the Cathedral. The banks of white clouds behind the towers of the Cathedral, really help to make them stand out. The sunlight is catching the sides of the towers of Durham Cathedral and the tops of the trees along the banks of the River Wear. The leaves on the trees are turning to their autumn colours, with browns, yellows and orange colours coming through.

The deep blue sky and the autumn colours of the trees on both sides of the river Wear are reflected on the waters of the river. Framwellgate Bridge is just visible where the tree line converges from both sides of the river. The dark reflection of the trees on the lefthand side of the photograph, takes you straight to the bridge in the distance. The bright, white water flowing over the wear, on the righthand side of the photograph brightens up what would have been a dark, dull area of the picture and provides a lead through, taking the viewer to the Fulling Mill Museum, poking through the trees on the bank side of the river, them up to the towers of the Cathedral dominating the skyline.
