Glass Coasters Angel of the North

Glass Coasters Angel of the North. A set of 4 Newcastle Glass Coasters with colour photographic prints inside, of the Angel of the North, the Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside and the Tyne Bridge. The size of the coasters is 100x100mm (4×4 inch) made from toughened and heat resistant glass, with a foam back. There is a black edge to the coasters, this really sets off the photographs inside. The set of coasters are supplied in the gift box as shown. Each set has a label on the back of the box to show the 4 different photographs inside. The glass coasters are hand finished and may have some small imperfections.

The Angel of the North this photograph was taken on a bright, colourful summers afternoon. The statue of the Angel is surrounded on both sides by tree branches. The branches are catching the afternoon light and provide a warm colour contrast against the bright blue of the sky and the large white cloud behind Antony Gormley’s creation. The Angel of the North, has quickly become an iconic image of the North East and is recognised all over the world.

Tyne Bridge is a dramatic photograph of the Tyne Bridge and the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside taken at twilight. The sun has set, leaving a dark sky, contrasting against the artificial lights. The lights inside the span of Tyne Bridge really make it standout against the dark of the sky. The traffic and figures on the quayside footpath and road give this photograph a real sense of life and movement.

Newcastle Gateshead Twilight Quayside, is a nighttime colour photograph of the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside. The sun has set, leaving a pale grey sky, contrasting against the  artificial lights, from the street lights and lights inside the Sage Gateshead. This is framed inside the span of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge’s arch and its reflection in the River Tyne. Standing just passed the Pitcher and Piano restaurant and bar on the quayside and using the quayside walkway to create the left to right composition for the viewers eyes to move through this photograph, from the Millennium Bridge and Sage Gateshead to the Tyne Bridge in the distance.

Newcastle Gateshead Quayside at Night is a nighttime photograph looking down the River Tyne, to the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, which is used to frame the Tyne Bridge. On the lefthand side is the Baltic Arts Centre and the Sage Gateshead. This photograph has a purple and blue sky. The footpath along the quayside is a bight yellow colour from the artificial street lighting.

The coasters will be packed in a strong card mailing box and are posted on a Signed For service. International orders are posted Tracked.
