Glass Coasters Durham Cathedral. A set of 4 Durham Glass Coasters with colour photographic prints inside, of Durham Cathedral. These photographs show the Cathedral from four different viewpoints around Durham City. The size of the coasters is 100x100mm (4×4 inch) made from toughened and heat resistant glass, with a foam back. There is a black edge to the coasters, this really sets off the photographs inside. The set of coasters are supplied in the gift box as shown. Each set has a label on the back of the box to show the 4 different photographs inside. The glass coasters are hand finished and may have some small imperfections.
Durham Cathedral sunset, is a close up photograph of Durham Cathedral, taken from Wharton Park. Durham Cathedral and the surrounding trees are lit with a warm brown light from the setting sun, this light really brings out the warmth of the stonework of the Cathedral. This is my favourite viewpoint to photograph Durham Cathedral, this close-up photograph was taken with a telephoto lens, to get in close.
Photograph of Durham Cathedral and the riverbanks along the River Wear. Durham Cathedral stands majestically above the trees. Below Durham Cathedral, is the Fulling Mill museum beside the wear, just poking through the trees. Nice bright summertime photograph of this iconic view, taken standing beside the ‘Pink House’ beside the wear. This summers day has a bright blue sky and attractive white fluffy clouds passing behind the towers of the Cathedral. The sunlight is catching the sides of the towers of Durham Cathedral and the tops of the trees along the banks of the River Wear. This stops the green tree leaves looking too dark and heavy in the middle of this photograph.
Rowing on the Wear, is a summer photograph taken standing on Prebends Bridge looking across the River Wear to Durham Cathedral towering above the trees of the riverbanks. Two Durham University rowing boats are practicing racing from the wear passed Prebends Bridge. This is a popular stretch of water for practicing on. There is a boat house right beside the bridge.
The photograph in the last last coaster is called ‘Through the Porthole’. This photograph taken from a viewpoint in the trees along the riverbanks. The trees provide a frame around this closeup photograph of Durham Cathedral and was taken late on a summers evening as the sun was setting and casting a warm pinky light on the cathedral and the trees around it.
The coasters will be packed in a strong card mailing box and are posted on a Signed For service. International orders are posted Tracked.
