The Angel of the North, located beside the A1, Western bypass was covered back in 1998 with an Alan Shearer N0.9 shirt by Newcastle United fans on their way to Wembley for our FA Cup finial against Manchester United. In 2025 fans put another NUFC shirt on the Angel, on their way to Wembley for the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.
