Newcastle Tea Towel Black Splash, high quality 100% cotton, black and white printed tea towel using our very popular Black Splash watercolour paint design. Combining the outlines of iconic buildings and bridges of Newcastle and Gateshead with watercolour ‘splash’ technique, by local North East Artist, Louisa E. Taylor. ‘Black Splash’ is Louisa’s latest range of Newcastle artwork. What says Newcastle more than a black and white image? She has looked at the creation of this art in a whole new way. Rather than multiple elements previously used inter painting, she has focused on just one iconic North East landmark, be it a sculpture, building or bridge. The other change, has been to produce this art in a square format, rather than a panoramic or rectangular format.

The Tea Towel, features the Angel of the North, Tyne Bridge, Gateshead Millennium Bridge, Sage Gateshead, Newcastle Castle, Grey’s Monument and St. James’ Park Football Stadium. The most popular and iconic images of Newcastle Gateshead are repeated on the tea towel, where as some elements only appear once. You never know what you will see when the tea towel is folded, which is great. The top row of the tea towel depicts the Angel of the North, Grey’s Monument and Tyne Bridge. The second row has the Monument, the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and the Angel. Underneath the Gateshead Millennium Bridge is the ‘Newcastle’ text. The 3rd row contains the Tyne Bridge, Newcastle Castle Keep and St. James’ Park football stadium. The bottom row repeats the top row with, the Angel of the North, Grey’s Monument and Tyne Bridge. There is a black band top and bottom of the tea towel, in this band are repeated the text ‘Geordies’
