Tyne Bridge is a dramatic black and white photograph of the Tyne Bridge and the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside taken at twilight. The sun has set, leaving a dark sky, contrasting against the artificial lights. The lights inside the span of Tyne Bridge really make it standout against the dark of the sky. The traffic and figures on the quayside footpath and road give this photograph a real sense of life and movement.

The Angel of the North this black and white photograph was taken on a bright and cloudy summers afternoon. The statue of the Angel is backlit which means the statue is in silhouette. There are two figures at the base of the Angel clasping hands. The figures and the Angel contrast against the bright sky and the white clouds passing behind Antony Gormley’s creation. The Angel of the North, has quickly become an iconic image of the North East and is recognised all over the world.

Newcastle Guildhall. This black and white photograph was taken standing up on Tyne Bridge, looking down at the Guildhall building on the quayside and then down the River Tyne to the Swing Bridge, the High Level Bridge and the blue colour of the Tyne and Wear Metro Bridge can be made out through the High Level Bridge. The beautiful architecture of the Guildhall, this building was completed in 1655, when Newcastle was a busy maritime trading city, is lit-up with warm yellow artificial light. This contrasts well against the light blue of the twilight sky. Past the Guildhall is the Swing Bridge, then the High Level Bridge. Over the road, to the right of the Guildhall is Bessie Surtees House, which is now owned and managed by Historic England. A number of pubs are also here, including the Quilted Camel and the Red House, which is red bricked!

Newcastle Gateshead Quayside is a nighttime black and white photograph looking down the River Tyne, to the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, which is used to frame the Tyne Bridge. On the lefthand side is the Baltic Arts Centre and the Sage Gateshead. This is bright and punchy photograph with a dramatic sky and lots of bright light from the street lighting along the quayside.

The coasters will be packed in a strong card mailing box and are posted on a Signed For service. International orders are posted Tracked.
