Snow globe Angel of the North & Tyne Bridge. Newcastle snow globe with a summertime photograph of the Angel of the North. Warm sunlight is falling on the Angel showing off the copper colour of the sculpture. The Angel is framed by the trees on both sides and a white cloudy sky contrasts well against Antony Gormley’s creation. This is an angle, that I like to photograph the Angel from. It gives a sense of scale with the angle of the huge wingspan trailing off into the distance.

On the reverse side is a twilight photograph of Tyne Bridge. The sun has set, leaving a dark sky, contrasting against the artificial lights. The lights inside the span of Tyne Bridge really make it standout against the dark of the sky. The traffic and figures on the quayside footpath and road give this photograph a real sense of life and movement. A high tide and still conditions on the River Tyne produce a very clear reflection of the bridges in the water. Including the walkway and railing helps takes the viewers eyes through this photograph, from front to back, taking you through to Tyne Bridge and the High Level Bridge and Swing Bridge below.
