The sun has set, leaving a dark sky, contrasting against the artificial lights. The lights inside the span of Tyne Bridge really make it standout against the dark of the sky. The traffic and figures on the quayside footpath and road give this photograph a real sense of life and movement. A high tide and still conditions on the River Tyne produce a very clear reflection of the bridges in the water. Including the walkway and railing helps takes the viewers eyes through this photograph, from front to back, taking you through to Tyne Bridge and the High Level Bridge and Swing Bridge below. Text on the photograph reads ‘Tyne Bridge’.
