Christmas Card Newcastle Angel & Quayside. A5 size Christmas card with a Newcastle watercolour painting featuring the iconic Newcastle Gateshead skyline, buildings and bridges. Featured landmarks are the Angel of the North, the Sage Gateshead building and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts, along side the Tyne Bridge and Gateshead Millennium Bridge. This piece of watercolour art is by local, North East Artist Louisa E. Taylor and is part of her ‘Splash of Toon’ range of paintings. There is a pleasing mix of warm colours in this piece of modern art, yellows, reds and greens are the mains colours used. The skyline depicts the Tyne Bridge framed underneath the arch of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. This leads into the Newcastle Castle Keep to the left side of the foot of the Angel of the North sculpture. On the right hand side of the Angel is the modern Sage Gateshead music and concert venue building. The watercolour splash flows down from the top of the painting, taking the viewer to the buildings and bridges of Newcastle Gateshead. The splash paint then flows from the buildings towards the base of the page.
The card has the text, arching over the top of the Angel ‘Merry Christmas’
The size of the Christmas Card, is 210x148mm. Each card comes with a white envelope and is cello bagged. The Christmas Card is left blank inside, for your own message.
