Durham Christmas Card Rowing on the Wear Snowing. A5 Christmas card, with this beautiful and dramatic snow, winter photograph of a University boat crew out on the River Wear in a snow shower. This winters photograph was taken in November 2010 on a real winters morning. This photograph was taken standing on Baths Bridge looking down the river to the bandstand in the distance, while a Durham University boat crew are out training on the River Wear, while snow is falling. Their coach can be seen riding his bike along the riverbank, following the boat.

The ground and trees along the riverbanks are covered in thick snow and this photograph has a real coldness to it.
