Snowy Durham Riverbanks and Cathedral. Mounted photographic print with a winter photograph of Durham Cathedral, the Fulling Mill and the Riverbanks, with snow frozen on the River Wear and on the rooftop of the Fulling Mill Museum. The pale blue and soft white clouds in the winter sky, lets the morning sunlight strike the sides of the towers of Durham Cathedral providing a bright contrast to the Fulling Mill and River below. Although there is ice and snow on the top of the river, there is still a good flow of water over the wear running to the Fulling Mill.

This landscape version of this photograph shows more of the snow and frost covered River Wear and the trees along the far side of the riverbanks. The ice and snow on the River Wear on the left side of this photograph and white water flowing over the wear, on the right hand side of the picture provide a brightness and a lead for the viewers eye to move through to snow covered Fulling Mill and the towers above of Durham Cathedral. The morning sunlight is just catching the sides of the towers.

Snowy Durham Riverbanks and Cathedral, this photograph is printed on heavy weight 240gsm matte paper, which cuts down on reflections. Prints are made on an Epson P9000 printer with 11 inks, these give fantastic depth of colour and neutral and punchy black and white prints.
