Angel of the North in the snow. The tree branches on both sides of the Angel and the ground are covered in snow. Snow flakes can be seen falling, best highlighted against the dark body of the statue. The figure at the base of the Angel really helps the viewer to realise the scale of Antony Gormley’s creation. I was very lucky getting the man walking through this scene. I had been taking quite a few photographs before hand, then the man appeared just in the perfect spot to complete the photograph. Sometimes you do just get lucky, but you do have to be in the right place at the right time.
Winter photograph of the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside covered in thick snow. The photograph was taken looking from the Guildhall, along the Newcastle side of the quayside pathway towards Tyne Bridge, the Sage Gateshead, Baltic Arts Centre and the Gateshead Millennium Bridge can be made out in the distance. Tyne Bridge really dominates this photograph was it is the most prominate part of the picture. All of the other buildings and bridges sit along the quayside underneath Tyne Bridge. The black and white processing of this photograph enhances the cold, stark winter look of this photograph and this makes the bridges and buildings more defined. The footpath on the Newcastle side of the quayside is covered in thick snow, with some footprints from earlier walkers in the day. This was an unusual photograph to get of the quayside, because it it beside the river often prevents too much snow settling.
Winter photograph of a couple walking across a thick, snow covered Armstrong Bridge, above Jesmond Dene. Large snowflakes can be seen falling as the couple make their way to the end of the bridge. This is a beautiful and romantic winter image. It is a photograph that looks like it is in black and white. This is due to the wintery conditions, when you look at the clothing on the couple, that are walking over the bridge, you can see that their clothing is blue, black and magenta. The young ladies hair is a light brown colour. There are a couple of touches of red clothing in the distance, from figures walking up the bank on the far side. A few other figures can be seen walking up the snow covered road, they look like a couple of young lads, having fun in the snow.
Photograph of the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside covered in snow. The photograph was taken close to the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, looking along the quayside to Tyne Bridge. The footpath is covered in thick snow while a group of people walk past, heading down towards Tyne Bridge.
The coasters will be packed in a strong card mailing box and are posted on a Signed For service. International orders are posted Tracked.
