Durham Riverbanks Panoramic Fridge Magnet. Plastic fridge magnet with a photograph of the Durham riverbanks along the River Wear. Durham Cathedral stands majestically above the trees. Below the towers of Durham Cathedral, is located the Fulling Mill Museum, beside the wear, just poking through the trees. Nice bright summertime photograph of this iconic view, taken standing beside the ‘Pink House’ beside the wear. This summers day has a bright blue sky and attractive white fluffy clouds passing behind the towers of the Cathedral. The sunlight is catching the sides of the towers of Durham Cathedral and the tops of the trees along the banks of the River Wear. This stops the green tree leaves looking too dark and heavy in the middle of this photograph.

Prebends Bridge is just visible in the distance, where the trees on both sides of the river meet. A wide-angle lens has been used for this photograph. This allows part of the trees on both sides of the River Wear to be captured, which is unusual for this viewpoint. The wear can be seen on the righthand side of this photograph. It takes the viewer through to the Fulling Mill Museum and then up to the towers of Durham Cathedral, which dominate the skyline of the city.

This panoramic version of the fridge magnet, allows us to show more of the Durham Riverbanks, the wear and to also include the boathouse, which is used by Durham University students. Every year, in the summer is Durham Regatta with two days of boat races, displays and events. It is now held during the Streets of Brass music festival, held in the city.
