This sunset photograph was taken beside some new apartments along the quayside, looking down across the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside at sunset. From this fantastic viewpoint you can see the whole of the new look quayside. All of the bridges crossing the river tyne are included in this photograph, including the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, the Tyne Bridge, the High Level Bridge and the Swing Bridge. The Tyne and Wear Metro Bridge is only just visible in the far distance. The lights inside the Sage Gateshead building can also be seen on the left of the photograph. There is a clear reflection in the River Tyne from the lights under the walkway part of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, linking the Baltic Arts Centre and the Sage on the Gateshead side of the Tyne to the Newcastle side of the river
