View From Tyne Bridge Magnet Panoramic. Newcastle plastic panoramic fridge magnet with photographic print inside. This panoramic fridge magnet photograph is taken at night, stood in the middle of the walkway on Tyne Bridge, looking down the Tyne to the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. On the Newcastle side of the Tyne next to the bridge is the Pitcher and Piano bar. On the Gateshead Side is the Baltic Arts Centre, HMS Calliope Royal Navy Training Centre and the Sage Gateshead music and concert venue.

The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is lit in purple lighting and the bridge lighting is reflected in the River Tyne. The reflection from the Gateshead Millennium Bridge is broken up by the tide. This helps to spread out the colour and lighting from the bridge in the centre of the photograph. This has prevented this area from being too dark. Reflections from the Street lights on the Newcastle Side and reflections from the building lights of the Royal Navy Training Centre, help to keep the dark waters of the River Tyne lit up. A short exposure was used for this photograph, this was to make sure the stopped traffic on the Newcastle side, did not start moving. This would have left light trails and would have spoilt the photograph.

This is a ‘stitch panoramic’ photograph. It comprises seven, vertical photographs, assembled in Photoshop to create one complete photograph. This became our signature style of Newcastle Gateshead photographs for a few years.
