Durham Riverbanks Vertical Magnet. Plastic fridge magnet with a photograph of the riverbanks beside the River Wear. Durham Cathedral stands majestically above the trees. Below the towers of Durham Cathedral, is located the Fulling Mill Museum, beside the wear, just poking through the trees. Nice bright summertime photograph of this iconic view, taken standing beside the ‘Pink House’ beside the wear. This summers day has a bright blue sky and attractive white fluffy clouds passing behind the towers of the Cathedral. The sunlight is catching the sides of the towers of Durham Cathedral and the tops of the trees along the banks of the River Wear. This stops the green tree leaves looking too dark and heavy in the middle of this photograph. Part of the wear is visible on the righthand side  of the photograph, with bright white patches of water flowing over the wear. This vertical view was taken using a short telephoto lens and really hones in on just Durham Cathedral and the Fulling Mill Museum below, which is just pocking through the trees along the banks of the River Wear.

This photograph was taken early afternoon. This is about the best time of day for this viewpoint as the sun is high enough to reach the trees and the water along the riverbanks of the River Wear. To early in the day and the tree line is just too dark against the bright sky. The sunlight is quite warm in this photograph, so the trees and the Cathedral towers are more yellow.

Durham Riverbanks Vertical Magnet, the size of the magnet is 76x50mm. The magnet has a stand in the back which pushes into a slot in the back so that the magnet can standup.  Text on the magnet reads ‘Durham’.
